Partners in Crime - character illustration

Here are the main characters of a project that I have, it’s called « Partners in Crime » and I’m currently trying to make a comic out of it !

Before beginning the thumbnailing stage, I had to design these characters properly and get to know them almost as if they were real people.

Because I want to have fun with the fashion design, I needed to know what kind of things they would want to wear and that resulted in a lot of traditional doodles in my sketchbook as well as some full feet illustrations to layout the their color palette properly.

I do have a rough turnaround to help me out in the process and I drew them very often in my sketchbook until I felt like I knew their features and proportions and I was ready to begin the project !
